What we keep
Bumper Arcade has no accounts and no passwords. This page says what the arcade keeps when you play, and why.
On your device
Your name, your colour, the classes you pick and your settings stay in your browser's own storage. So does a random key that stands for you in the League and on your profile. The arcade keeps only a scrambled copy of that key, so the key itself never needs to be stored anywhere else.
Clearing your browser's data removes all of this. Without the key, your profile can no longer be reached.
When you play the League
- The name and colour you pick.
- Each run's record: your steering, moment by moment, so the arcade can play the run again and check its score.
- Your scores, places, streaks, badges and level.
- What the run was played on: a phone, a tablet or a computer, and the family of its system and browser (for example iPhone and Safari).
When you play Practice
A short note of each match: the game, the class, your place, your points, the time and the kind of device. Never the match itself. It adds to your level and the Practice numbers on your profile.
What other players see
Your name, colour, scores, level, badges and League numbers, on the standings and on your player card. Nothing else about you is shown.
What we don't keep
No email address, real name, location, contacts or payment details. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.
The sites and the League run on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees your internet address to send you the pages. The arcade doesn't store it.
Why
To score the League fairly, to show the standings, badges and levels, and to keep the games fair and well balanced: for example, comparing scores across classes and devices.
